A Collection of Poems: La Recueil des Poèmes

French Edition

Nearly all my poems—from the age of 18 until today.

What does it mean to be a poet?

It is difficult to become a poet.
Perhaps even harder is to remain one throughout a lifetime.

I do not claim to have endured the suffering that may be imposed upon a poet. I cannot call myself a poet in the traditional sense.

But I believe that every artist carries within them a poet’s soul—a way of seeing, feeling, remembering, and transforming life into something meaningful.

This collection gathers poems written across many years of my life. They are fragments of time, emotion, love, pain, memory, and imagination—words that have remained with me from the age of eighteen until today.

These poems are not simply a collection of writings.

They are pieces of a life.

And above all, I dedicate this collection to my beloved cousin, Shoukoufeh.

She gave me her love and her life.
